Funnily enough, this is the one tenet that many of us keep forgetting in the flow of exercising and gyming. Cardiovascular exercises still manages to dry out insides to an extent that we reach for our water sippers, but many a times we just breeze over to the weights section without thinking about the fact that the body needs some hydration.

Here’s why you need to remember to keep drinking water as we sweat it out at the gym.

You need to constantly keep up the energy during your workout and for that purpose water is an essential nutrient. To avoid muscle fatigue, cramps and exhaustion; you need to keep drinking water in decent portions throughout.

When you are on your mission to burn those calories, you perspire and lose sodium and potassium in your body along with water content. That is why having an electrolyte based drink along with water is a good idea. It makes sure you don’t face muscle exertion, or worse, water intoxication.

Hydrating your body in appropriate amounts makes sure that the quality of your workout is good. Not only are you reducing the chances of feeling tired later but you also reduce your recovery time post the exercise. The best part is that your body doesn’t feel sore if you hydrate it enough before and after the workout.
